Acupuncture points have been tested through the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 2,000 years and are used in determining the most effective placement for the holographic disc from 8ight™.

Each holographic disc is easy to use with its adhesive backing in placement over the desired acupuncture point.  Each Data DiscTM is scientifically designed for a specific desired effect such as: more energy, restful sleep, weight loss, or pain relief. Therefore, each acupressure point placement of the Data DiscTM is chosen to coincide with the effect desired.

For example, the action™ disc is placed on the acupuncture point pericardium 6 on the inside of the right wrist.

The same effect can be replicated with the use of acupuncture needles, however the convenience of wearing the holographic disc has obvious advantages, no needles, no appointments, and low cost. Additional advantages of utilizing acupuncture points is the concept of taping into vital energy (qi), which is believed to flow through the body. It is thought to regulate a person’s spiritual emotional, mental, and physical balance.

The holographic disc activates the body’s energy field or biofield, which in turn activates the meridians creating a healthy, balanced body, in a non-invasive way.

In the “Prove It” section of this web site we show that by placing any of the holographic disc products from 8ight™ within your energy field will result in an instant increase in your balance. Wearers also report increased focus, concentrations and an over all sensation of feeling better.

More than one in four U.S. hospitals offers alternative and complementary therapies such as acupuncture. In light of the recent scare with medical drugs more and more people are looking to alternative medicine.  A new survey shows that one out of every 4 mainstream medical institutions is now providing complementary and alternative therapies to meet this growing demand.

"More and more, patients are requesting care beyond what most consider to be traditional health services," say researchers Sita Ananth of Health Forum, an affiliate of the American Hospital Association, and William Martin, PsyD, of the College of Commerce at DePaul University in Chicago, in a news release. "And hospitals are responding to the needs of the communities they serve by offering these therapies."

There is a trend to a more holistic treatment of a person verses traditional Western medical treatment of the disease or symptom.

A 2002 Center of Disease Control survey showed that more than 50% of all Americans thought combining alternative and complimentary medicine with conventional medicine would be helpful; and that number is growing quickly.
